Support Callaway Gardens Through "Art in the Gardens" April 19-21 Callaway Gardens in Spring is a kaleidoscope of vivid color and natural beauty. During the fourth annual Plein Air Paint Out, Art Show and Sale at Callaway Gardens, April 19-21, world-class painters will paint scenes from nature en plein air – French for "in open air" – and create stunning works of art in broad daylight. Spectators are invited to see the artists in action and watch as masterpieces come to life before their eyes. Then, browse the final works during the Preview Party or shop throughout the weekend Art Show & Sale and call one your own. If you have an artistic side, bring your brushes and stroke your own work of art during the Quick Draw Competition. All proceeds from the Art Show & Sale benefit the Ida Cason Callaway Foundation and further its mission of "connecting man and nature in a way that benefits both." “I seek to capture the serenity that I perceive in a landscape. Each vista offers something at the particular moment it’s painted, unique to that moment. I call upon all my talent and spirit, to articulate the emotional and experiential atmosphere in my landscapes & seascapes to really feel like the location. This is reflected in the life and energy that each painting retains.-Kirk Larsen on Plein Air
